MF PE analyst seat out of school?

Will be a freshman at a target (not HYPSW) in the fall, and will be interning at a MM PE firm this summer & throughout freshman year. If you were in my seat, what would you do/what would you have done differently do get to MFPE out of school? I've been trying to learn as much of the technical stuff as possible, and I will definitely be learning that in school as well, and I've also been trying to differentiate myself with my PE internship -- what else should I be doing to really maximize my odds in something as difficult to crack from undergrad as MFPE?

I believe the main places that take analysts are: BX, KKR, Ares, Oaktree, SLP, GA, TPG, LGP, Vista Equity. Really interested in tech, so I am particularly interested in SLP, GA, Vista, but honestly I would be thrilled to work at any of these places much like everyone else I'm sure, and that's not to say the other places don't do tech PE as well.
