MF PE analyst seat out of school?

Will be a freshman at a target (not HYPSW) in the fall, and will be interning at a MM PE firm this summer & throughout freshman year. If you were in my seat, what would you do/what would you have done differently do get to MFPE out of school? I've been trying to learn as much of the technical stuff as possible, and I will definitely be learning that in school as well, and I've also been trying to differentiate myself with my PE internship -- what else should I be doing to really maximize my odds in something as difficult to crack from undergrad as MFPE?

I believe the main places that take analysts are: BX, KKR, Ares, Oaktree, SLP, GA, TPG, LGP, Vista Equity. Really interested in tech, so I am particularly interested in SLP, GA, Vista, but honestly I would be thrilled to work at any of these places much like everyone else I'm sure, and that's not to say the other places don't do tech PE as well. Thanks in advance!

I will be a freshman at a target (not HYPSW) in the fall, and will be interning at a MM PE firm this summer & throughout freshman year. I am going into undergrad with the goal of ending up in MF PE after school

I feel so bad for the kids five years from now. They'll be competing with students who interned at MF PE during high school after attending their middle school's Goldman Sachs Insights Series.
