Miserable "culturally" at a firm - worth switching?

Hi guys:

I've been at my current firm for a longer than a year now, and honestly I feel quite miserable culturally. There's a lot of posturing and petty politilcs and I honestly just felt so much happier when I started WFH and no longer have to see people (easier to act happy virtually).

I think most of my friends in PE dislike their jobs for one reason or another. I've also been working a lot lately so don't know if I just burnt out. Is it time for me to start thinking about switching? How does an average PE experience feel like when one is a good fit?

Thanks

Culture is key for PE establishments, and the gamut is quite wide here. For some it is the wrong investment themes, the social reasoning of an investment (I had a team once where every investment had some kind of impact on global warming, wtf), or the type of politics.

These are difficult to gauge before you join, so it takes 6 months minimum to hate the people and the way things are done. Start networking with people who are more like-minded and who won't piss you off like your colleagues.

I also love WFH, can't go in any longer. ever.

what do your friends say are the main reasons for not liking PE or not wanting to do it?

Will update my computer soon and leave Incognito so I will disappear forever. How did I achieve Neanderthal by trolling? Some people are after me so need to close account for safety.
