MM PE Analyst vs. BB Comp

With BB comp now at $100k, if you account for all bonuses, should easily cross $160k (based on precedents). Any insights on how MM PE compares? For me the MM PE route seems attractive on all levels, but have heard some aren't anywhere near IB comp, so that's definitely a factor for me.

Would appreciate firm-specific info or ranges depending on fund size. Also, are bonus numbers in your offer letter? I think we can predict a specific range bonus in IB, but are there firms out there paying 0 bonus?

Interviewed for a few MMPE roles, comp was usually around/a bit under IB base then (75-85k). Anecdotally, heard bonuses at the analyst level can be pretty light (I heard 20-30k?) but think this probably ranges a ton based on firm.

Before IB raises, the comp was usually close enough to not matter given better hours, but now with higher bases I think MMPE analyst roles are a hard sell if youre looking at a 50k+ difference when you factor in signing bonus and everything
