Move from Equity Research to BDC Finance Group
Hi everyone,
I am currently working at a smaller IB doing equity research (came from a BB).
I was recently approached by a PE firm (a top 2/3 firm) about joining their BDC Capital Markets team.
I am not really sure what BDC does, so are any PE people able to explain, and if so, is it a good choice to move from a top research position to this BDC role? Are there any opportunities with this? Dead end? I don’t believe it’s on the investment team.
I have my interview next week.
