Moving to a New City

Currently based out of NYC, but was interested in moving out to somewhere like CHI or SF/MP. My biggest worry was not having any circle there. How did you guys who made a big move get settled in and build a circle?

It's definitely tough especially if you don't have great WLB to pursue hobbies / activities - moved to a new city and the first year was hard.  You gotta really put yourself out there / take advantage of any and all social events you can.  Made some decent friends via work, and was able to expand meeting new people through them.  Sports leagues (esp. pickleball as of late) and group workout classes are pretty good outlets.
