Need Advice: Got Rejected from GWI SIP + OIP. Wanting to break into PE.

Hi everyone. I'm a sophomore at a T-20 school on the West Coast (target for West Coast banking/PE) semi-target for East coast. Just got rejected from SIP + OIP from GWI. Honestly really shocked because I'd say I have a pretty solid resume but I am sure everyone does going into this field as well. I really want to break into a good PE firm coming out of college on the East Coast and I honestly don't know how to proceed or set myself up for success now bc ik that GWI had a really good pipeline for that. Any guidance would truly be appreciated.
