New Job Approach

Starting at a smaller firm soon and looking for advice on how to start out strong through the first 6 months to a year. Given that it is a smaller firm with a structure of partners then straight to associate/senior associate, I anticipate needing to be much more independent. What should my approach/goals be for the first month? 90 days? 6 months? Year?

Any advice is appreciated. Just want to make sure I am hitting the ground running and on top of everything that I can be over each time period.
