As the title suggests—this is a genuine question for those who have received interviews or offers at megafunds, VC firms, etc., or know someone who has. What do you think was the real reason you passed screening and got the interview or case/test?

Was it something like “2 internships, 4.0 GPA, target school = guaranteed interview”? Just wondering honestly—from one curious monkey to another.
