Non-deal experience on resume?
Hello,
I'm currently a first year analyst at a BB. Unfortunately on my live deals I have not gotten any much modelling experience, however, I did have a business development project that involved pretty intensive modelling (fulsome M&A and LBO model of a publicly traded company). Would it be ok to put it down on my resume? Although it's not technically deal experience, it is by far the most "relevant" project on my resume.
Yes you should definitely include this. Why not just frame it as strategic alternatives, potential sellside process, etc - whatever fits the situation
Don't lie or anything but there are definitely ways to talk this up on your resume
