Can't speak to the latter two questions, but they have a relatively unique strategy where they have a committed fund that they use to back independent sponsor deals. They're usually one of the first calls from good independent sponsors since they can right a meaningful check, and they're typically underwriting to 3x+ returns. Haven't had a ton of interactions with them, but they seem sharp.
What do you mean by "independent sponsor"? Fundless sponsors, search funds, one-person shops, or do they partner with small PE firms?
