Does anybody have insight into the current off-cycle hiring market? Seems like headhunters have sent out quite a few opportunities without anybody actually kicking off a process after a month. Heard from a friend that their company postponed their recruiting efforts by 6 months.

This is terrible advice. Will miss out on 80%+ of opportunities without headhunters. They're not going to mess up relationships by talking telling a bank that their analysts are recruiting...

Yeah been super slow - had multiple coffee chats / intro calls earlier this month with confirmation I would receive a first round but nothing yet. I think there are a few funds going through processes right now but they seem drawn out. Also had a first round 2 weeks ago and was told I would get moved on but didn’t get follow up from HH until a few days ago for availability in a week. That’s about a month from 1st round to 2nd round right there. Similar experiences across peers I’ve talked to
I had multiple interviews with a firm that wrapped up their process last week. A few others from my bank received offers from other processes last week. There’s definitely some processes going at this point, but seems pretty spread out in terms of when firms are kicking off and how long the processes go
It seems like tech focused groups / growth is a little slow compared to traditional buyout
