On-Cycle Recruiting for Off-Cycle IB Start

I have a bit of a unique recruiting / graduation situation and was wondering about on-cycle recruiting timelines out of IB. I am set to graduate in May 2024, but decided to take an additional term to to intern at an EB the summer of 2024 (and thus graduate in December 2024). The firm has indicated that I would then return full-time in January 2025 (or if I wanted to, could start the following summer). I was curious as to how this January start date would fit in with on-cycle recruiting - to my knowledge, most of that happens after analysts start in August. Yet I'd join the prior analyst class in January 2025, not the one I interned with. Would I then complete the first rounds of  on-cycle recruiting the following fall, or would I have to 'catch up' with the prior analyst class and recruit out of IB in later cycles? If it's the former, I imagine that'd be rather advantageous as you'd have ~6M on the desk before modeling tests/interviews/etc. What start date would you recommend, assuming I get a return (I think like 95% of summer analysts do at this firm)? Anything helps thank you!
