Operational / Value Oriented MM Funds?
It seems that there are a number of firms with a similar strategy that have come up recently. Anyone have opinions on groups like Platinum, Stellex, Tenex, Trive, Gamut, Wynnchurch, and others? Seems like they all have broadly similar strategies but curious if anyone has thoughts on any of these names / the space as a whole.
I'd add KPS and HIG to the list as well
Comvest used to do a lot more deep value type stuff. I think they still do a bit of it. The one MD I know there is really brilliant. One of the few PE guys I've talked to that asked really good questions around the operating end of things.
