Opportunities to move from Markets to PE?

Hi all, currently working in markets in a structured product team on the private side for a BB in London - have been an analyst for about a year. I'm very happy where I am at the moment but am starting to think about opportunities for leaving at the associate level - given how early PE recruiting seems to be taking place, am now thinking about what the next steps might be for myself to land a job.

Is it possible to move from Markets to PE (I know it's typically an IBD move)... If not, do I need to be looking at getting an MBA? Or alternatively, should I be looking to supplement my skills somehow to market myself better to PE firms?

Help would be greatly appreciated.
