I'm currently looking for PE roles and I am in between jobs (spent over the last 10 years in IB/private equity). As we all know, the recruiting market is very slow and I'm starting to go a little crazy. To fill the time and to create a little side income, I was considering looking for part-time positions.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what type of part-time roles could work for someone with my background? Thoughts on which platforms to use to find these roles?
I'm based in New York City so ideally the position would be there or remote. Thank you everyone
I know you didn’t intend it, but this post made me feel so much relief. I thought I was the only one.
8 years IB/PE, in between roles (long story), and the past 5 months have been the slowest I’ve ever seen them. I understand there’s less roles in general for our experience, but the lack of headhunter emails / opps on LinkedIn is starting to drive me crazy as well.
For what it’s worth, I would consider part time work for cash flowing but probably not put it on the resume unless there’s a direct benefit of doing so.
