PE and Outside Business Activity
Hey everyone, I’m off to a US MF that is not a public company. I would love to franchise a business with my brother (thinking fast serve restaurant, been a childhood dream to run a business together). I am coming from a BB with strict policies around outside business activities (OBAs), and of course the SEC laws in place for bankers. I’d rather not let my employer know I’m taking time to focus on a side hustle. Does anyone know if PE allows for OBAs or do you have to disclose it? Thanks!
Think it’s better to be upfront with these types of things.
If you have carry allocation then check the carry docs and what is considered competition.
