PE in India from US BB Analyst

Currently an IB analyst here in the US. Was wondering if megafunds (Warburg, Bain, KKR) in India are willing to hire IB analysts from US offices? I'm an Indian passport holder and lived there. Would appreciate any advice!

Haven't made the transition myself, but from what I saw on the pages of Bain Capital, KKR and Carlyle's India teams - yes, they would hire people with US IB experience. Many of them are M7 MBAs, so I am assuming they did start out professionally in USA.

Plus, Michael Page consultants often post about people who have experience in USA banking for their Indian PE clients. You should reach out to these folks to get more information.

Besides, you do know that the FO IB scene in India is pretty nascent. So, it would totally make sense for them to import talent. But get a look on the pay; I am pretty sure it wouldn't be at par with the global standards in dollar terms; but if you factor for purchasing power, you will be a feudal lord.

Yes. Find some folks on LinkedIn and shoot them a message. Stay closer to introducing yourself, instead of asking for a job. (I know you might be already aware of this - but I have seen some people do this in the comments section; I don't even want to know what they do in DMs.)

Apart from Michael Page, there's Vito India Advisors. Reach out to them. Keep us all posted. Cheers!
