PE Recruiting as International Student

I am an incoming analyst at a strong MM bank on the west coast and I am interested in recruiting for PE. I'm an international student and have 3 years on my OPT since I majored in STEM. So essentially, when I finish my 2 analyst years I would only have 1 more guaranteed year to work in the US. Are international students disadvantaged severely in the PE recruiting process because of this? It doesn't impact IB as much since at least you can finish the two analyst years. Just wanted to ask how PE firms/head hunters view this situation.

Thanks in advance!
