PE Senior Associate Comp

I know that comp is a topic that gets beaten to death on here, but was wondering if you guys have thoughts on how senior associates should be comped at a PE firm. Is base + bonus closer to associate or VP pay scale? Is getting a small amount of carry appropriate?

Theres a lot of literature out there on the rough ranges for associates, VPs, etc and while I know it varies widely from fund to fund, would be curious to hear of any anecdotal evidence around what they've been paid, how colleagues have been paid, or what they have paid to senior associates at their firm.

Depends on AUM. Difficult to see senior associates getting carry but depends on the firm -- some firms even give associates profit share / carry. All in for a senior associate should be $350K+ at a decent MM fund.
