PE with a 2:1, is it possible?

I was just looking around profile of some individuals working at top PE shops in London and I could not find many with a 2:1 score in their undergrad and those who had 2:1 ended up doing masters afterwards.

I have received a full time offer for IB with a US BB (BofA/Citi) and I am predicted to achieve 2:1 unless something magical happens in my final year. So I just wanted to ask does degree score matter a lot if you are looking to make a move to PE after 2 years of IB stint?

No, lol, 2.1 doesn't matter at all, espc if you went to a top target.

Source: Got a 2.1 (caveat that I went to a top target) and went to a MF PE Analyst program after graduation. Know a handful of other people w/ 2.1s either in PE or who get regularly pinged for interviews by HHs

Go chill out, get a 2.1, enjoy your final year of uni before you start grinding is my advice

Nobody cared about my 2:1 in my career. 1 extra internship mattered to people more.
