I must have 50+ blocked email addresses from pinpoint partners and a few somehow still manage to get through. WTF.
The roles they advertise don’t exist. The people who work there don’t exist. Don’t send them your CV unless you want even more spam.
Same. I block every Pinpoint Partners recruiter I can. Can’t believe I still get them.
I posted this elsewhere: They could be a bit spammy for most people. People tend to shit on pinpoint, but I like them. I went down a bit of an unusual path doing different things post my BB analyst years. Pinpoint is one of the only few HHs still willing to look at my profile and present it to their clients, unlike some other prestige-chasing HHs who wouldn't even take a call from me anymore.
I think the IB roles they advertise are all made up. But I’ve had some luck for LMM PE. Every time I responded to the email I actually got an interview setup.
There are like 50+ recent threads on Pinpoint. It's not hard to do a search... that said they are scammy and definitely do not use them.
Even if they have a role of interest, they will blast your resume to every job out there and set up interviews at other random shops before even running the opportunity by you. Extremely unprofessional and weird spot for you to be canceling on interviews you never wanted
They actually got me a lateral interview but yeah, usually spam.
Pinpoint is the NWM of the recruiting world, avoid at all costs.
