Pivoting from IB to IB / PE Biz Dev
Hi All -
I am a current IB Associate and I would consider my strengths more in my people skills and ability to network / form relationships (which is also more stimulating for me) than excel modeling, creating analyses, etc. I am also a bit burnt out from the standard IB grind, and would love to hear from anyone who made the switch from stanard IB to a Business Development role at a bank or PE shop. Would love to hear details such as day to day responsibilities, work/life balance, compensation (both base and bonus, understanding it can vary), how you went about networking / interviewing for the role, etc.
Thanks!
