bump, I'd be interested in doing vice versa at one of those shops and currently have an offer. Interested to know how their PM teams' comp compares with PE/PC at the associate and VP levels, because I'd eventually like to go the PM route.

No, I have a PE/PC offer, but want to eventually go a PM route either after or sometime during my associate years.
Not at a MF but at a small distressed debt fund. Base salaries are in-line with investment team but the bonuses are 15 to 25% lower. Probably 10 fewer hrs per week in work.
Do portfolio managers receive any amount of carry?
