Post MBA BB IBD (M&A) Associate to PE chances
I understand that most PE funds hire from the analyst level pre MBA. However what are the chances that a post mba associate in IBD in M&A can lateral into PE. Would this be possible if the associate goes for the same position as a the pre MBA analyst would (I.e taking a cut in seniority)?
This happens more than you would expect, and most don’t take pre-mba associate, 2year and out roles.
