Any idea on comp expectations for MM (~1 - 3bn fund size) for VP1's? I am not MBA but am a direct promote. My current fund is far too crowded at the mid-levels, so looking to go down market, just unsure what expected comp is. If helpful, current comp at a UMM is a little under $5mm (with co-invest required) at quoted and $500k cash comp. I am marking my carry well below stated number (expecting maybe $1.5 - 2.5mm in reality if I stick around) because almost no $10bn+ fund size fund has paid out stated carry in years now.
