Private Equity and Nurseries

Hello, my wife and I are at the stage of selecting a nursery for our little one in London.

Now, there's 3 nearby we've shortlisted. One is independent, two are PE-owned. PE ownership has a very mixed history of change at businesses. Honestly, in my own coverage sector, I feel like PE backing does improving the product and quality for customers (albeit usually at a higher price point). That said, reading some of the comments about care homes / healthcare on another forum topic, there's room for scepticism.

That said, I know nothing at all about owning nurseries or what the VCPs look like in the industry.

So, if anyone works for a PE which owns nurseries or has studied the sector, anything to look out for? Do you think PEs improve or destory the overall experience for a customer?

I get that it depends a lot on the specific nursery but looking for any honest and informed views
