Private Equity Compensation
I have a friend who works at a private equity firm that compensates based on acquisitions. The firm does not appear to do much due dilligence, and the firm's employees allegedly make outrageous amounts of money. the average deal size is 100M and VPs would be paid 400k for closing a deal that size. It takes 3 years to become a VP. How unusual is this pay structure?
