Private Equity Recruiting
Incoming analyst here at a BB, I want to try and give investment banking a shot but also don’t want to close the door on PE.
It seems like the norm is to recruit the first year and get an offer two years out. Is it common to wait a year and get an offer one year out or is it still two years out?
Separate question: if my group is more known for ecm activity rather than m&a should I still prioritize m&a work given it helps with PE recruiting?
Thank you.
