Private Equity Salary Expectations

Hi guys! I just finished the final round for a private equity consulting firm and the MD just emailed me asking what my salary expectations are. He said it will be taken into consideration as they are down to the last few candidates. I am fresh out of college and don't have a ton of experience in this area, so I was hoping someone could give me some guidance on the subject and how to approach this. I have checked GlassDoor and they have the national average at 82K for PE Analysts, but it doesn't provide much more info, even less for the Dallas area. Looking forward to seeing what you guys suggest!

I think PE analysts may be paid differently from analysts at a PE consulting firms i.e. PE analysts get paid more on average but not by much. Other can correct me if I'm wrong here

I won't be able to input on Dallas specific, but I would feel comfortable suggesting $70-75K with $80K being my max. Again, given Dallas standard of living is much cheaper than that of NYC/SF, they may give you lower for an similar standard of living.
