Yes probably so depending on the group and if they do many/ any sponsor backed deals.
If it has anything to do with directly working on deals, then yes. If not, then not so much.

Hey, I'm looking at a private placement role at a BB, and don't really understand how they are perceived. PEinvestor -can you explain?

just wondering what are the exit ops of an analyst in private placement groups. i have heard numerous things but am not too familiar with it.
i'd also appreciate it if someone could elaborate on this. i've heard it's mainly to bschool or to another private placement group.
to add... if you could choose between working at a BB private placement group and BB credit risk, which would you pick and why? just want to see if my train of thought makes sense. thanks
