is this lateral or straight from IB?
This is curiosity mainly given i’ve been hearing about them more lately
They’re closing a $7bn Fund 6 this year it looks like so $20bn+ raised across Europe and NA funds.
Not sure how their portfolio is doing but remember they had some assets we looked at that were bidding for some pretty high multiples and were organic growth stories.
I know they also have a pretty strong focus on buy + build but the companies they ran processes for were all organic growth. Not sure what that says given their focus on M&A now, perhaps those portcos are not as attractive to buyers lol
Overall is a top MM Tech Growth fund, would put them in the same tier as JMI, Battery, AKKR, they will often compete with bigger funds like Insight on deals as well.
Not sure about culture, only know them from processes and speaking with a few people there, seem sharp enough and have some good companies. Also they deploy a LOT which means they might have a load of stinkers in their portfolio in a year lol
