Retake SAT at Non-Target?

Senior at a non-target and just finished my summer at a well-known MM bank in tech coverage (RO received). The bank / group is expanding very quickly and has had some very solid deals in recent years, but still doesn’t have the recruiting pedigree of the stronger MM shops.

I scored in the low / mid 1500s on the SAT. Given that my school and bank are already working against me, is there any real value in retaking it to get closer to a 1600? I’m fairly confident I could score in the high 1500s with relative ease.

Alternatively, would it be a better idea to take the GMAT instead?

I’m potentially interested in MM / UMM PE and am trying to understand whether either of these options would have any material impact on recruiting.
