Does anyone have a good method for getting a look at returns data of different funds? It seems a lot of PE shops make it difficult to find and we're left looking at how much they could raise recently, but would be great to see actual returns data. Pitchbook sometimes has data, but would be interested in hearing if anyone has a better source.

Calpers is one of the few LPs I'm aware of that publicly shares returns data (only net however). Quick google should take you to their database, which covers a fairly broad set of funds.
