Roark Capital 2025

Last informative thread I could find was from 6+ years ago (search Roark Comp?).

Any updated insights on culture/comp/exits anyone could share?

Anyone know if their ASO program would be open to someone coming from a PE family office instead of IB? Have ties to Atlanta and the restaurant industry so would be very interested in lateraling even if for ASO1.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here’s what you need to know about Roark Capital:

  1. Culture: Roark Capital is often associated with a steady and solid work environment, particularly for those with ties to Atlanta or an interest in the restaurant industry. However, some users have noted that the experience might not be as varied compared to other firms, which could be a consideration if you're looking for broader exposure.

  2. Compensation: While specific 2025 figures aren't available in the dataset, general private equity compensation trends for associates are as follows:

    • 1st Year Associate: $227K
    • 2nd Year Associate: $266K
    • 3rd+ Year Associate: $277K These numbers provide a benchmark, but Roark-specific details might vary.
  3. Exits: Roark's focus on consumer and franchise businesses, particularly in the restaurant sector, could make it a strong platform for those looking to specialize in these areas. However, exit opportunities might be more niche compared to firms with broader investment mandates.

  4. ASO Program Eligibility: While the dataset doesn’t explicitly confirm if Roark’s Associate program is open to candidates from a PE family office background, your ties to Atlanta and the restaurant industry could be advantageous. Highlighting your relevant experience and industry knowledge would likely strengthen your case.

If you're serious about lateraling, consider reaching out to current or former employees for insights and networking opportunities.
