Could someone shed some light on these firms in Dallas? Specifically interested on if both have traditional buyout PE (non RE) and if they take associates. As someone looking to move to Dallas for PE, these seem to be the top shops, but want to make sure they have what I’m interested in. It seems TPG in Fort Worth is only RE. Thank you!

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure only Sixth Street back office is in Dallas. Lone Star is definitely a known name in PE but have only heard associate horror stories out of there. Very sweaty reputation
