Special Situations PE vs Traditional PE compensation in same firm
Assuming a private equity firm has two teams - a larger trad PE team and a smaller special situations team - which generally has higher compensation? If there is a gap in compensation, does it exist at all levels?
I know it varies firm by firm, but was wondering if anyone had any insights.
