Stepstone private debt

I interviewed at stepstone for a 2027 internship in the private debt group and I had a final round. I think it went well but I haven’t heard back yet. Does anyone have any advice for me on if there’s anything else I should do? It’s my dream job but I haven’t heard back for like 3 weeks now.

If it's been three weeks since your final round interview with StepStone's private debt group and you haven't heard back, here's what you can do:

  1. Follow Up Professionally: Send a polite follow-up email to your main point of contact (likely the recruiter or the person who coordinated your interview). Keep it concise and professional. For example:

    • Subject: Follow-Up on Private Debt Internship Interview
    • Body:

Dear [Recruiter's Name], I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to follow up regarding my final round interview for the Private Debt Internship position. I remain very excited about the opportunity to join StepStone and contribute to the team. I understand these decisions can take time, but I wanted to kindly inquire if there are any updates regarding the process or timeline. Please let me know if there’s any additional information I can provide. Thank you for your time and consideration. Best regards, [Your Full Name] [Your Contact Information]
  2. Leverage Your Network: If you have any connections at StepStone or within the private debt space, now is a good time to reach out. Let them know you’ve completed the interview process and are awaiting feedback. They might be able to provide insights or even nudge the process along.

  3. Prepare for Other Opportunities: While waiting, continue networking and applying to other roles. Even if StepStone is your dream job, it’s important to have backup options. This also helps reduce stress and keeps you proactive.

  4. Be Patient but Persistent: Hiring processes can sometimes take longer than expected, especially for competitive roles. If you don’t hear back after your follow-up email, wait another week or two before reaching out again.

Remember, persistence and professionalism are key. Good luck!
