I haven't seen many great books on this subject, and I think that stems from 2 fairly obvious factors:

1, it's a hugely broad topic, when you consider the range of industries, sizes and strategies of target companies, and the degree of specificity one would need to consider in crafting a value creation strategy.

2, firms increasingly feel the post-close value creation playbook they employ is what constitutes their "edge" in winning deals, selling their partnership-value to management teams, and in raising capital from LPs.
