Striving for full-time in PE directly vs IB

Hi,

I am set to begin my master's in finance at a top European university this fall. I have conducted an internship in IB and got some great live deal experience. I am in VC during the summer and will be at a PE firm with c. EUR 15b in committed capital during the fall. Applications for 2023 summer internships are soon coming up and I'm uncertain whether I should target PE or IB. I imagine PE will be much more interesting than IB, which makes me lean towards prioritizing PE over IB. Meanwhile, I've heard that conversion rates are extremely low for PE. Consequently, if I choose PE over IB I would risk not ending up with any full-time offer when I graduate. Is there any reasonable possibility to land a full-time offer in London for PE at a EUR +10b firm?
