Submit Faster or Gain Late-Night Bonus Points

In finance there is always the feeling that, at the junior level, senior level people get off on making you work later. They want you to work for you bonus, they had to (still do) do it, whatever the reason may be.

So I get the 6:00 assignment drop. This one is a bitch too, where usually you have to do it by hand and sort through docs - taking 4-5 hours min.

This time though there is a spreadsheet (everyone is aware of it). But the sheet is a data dump of 65,000 rows in an unsortable way. We've already discussed how it will take awhile to get through.

Thing is, I got through it yesterday and did not bring it up yet. Regardless I spent10 min building a formula to get today's work done in 10 min.

So here I sit. The last person in the office. Do I call up and say it is done and get the guaranteed response of wtf that was fast or do I send it out at the earliest, 11 pm?

I am thinking ill go with the 11 pm.

My hours are 40-80, avg 55, avg this week 40.
