Taking on Leverage for Co-Invest
Was wondering if this is a common / accepted practice:
Assuming one has a great relationship with their respective bank and can get a good rate, would you take out a loan to co-invest in your fund ?
I know it can be risky if the fund goes to shit, not looking for a lecture, just inquiring whether or not others do this and if anyone has a success story doing this ?! Haha
Cheers xx !!
I wouldn’t
Used to be pretty common when First Republic had cheap LoCs for associates
Any idea on whether any other banks offer this? Also heard of this FR offering and the rates sounded incredible from colleagues that had it.
