Thoughts on Kline Hill Partners?
Secondaries group based out of NY. I have heard good things about them but curious if anyone has gone through the process or had any thoughts on a mid-level opportunity at the firm?

I'm pretty sure they're in Greenwich CT, not NY btw
Correct. Greenwich and also a Zurich office
Any insights here? Interview tomorrow and cant find anything about them online.
What did the interview/ process look like and was it similar to traditional PE?
The interview was abuse fr lol, the first 3 min were already into technicals on capital structures, and pretty much IB technical questions for the whole 30 minutes lol. Second round interview was a breeze with no technicals at all, but I didn't make it past the case study, was hard asf
Sweatshop. They did over 100 deals in 2021 (which makes no sense) so the word on the street is they do no DD.
Presumably lots of add-ons? My firms marketing 70+ deals in 2022 but the majority were sub-$1MM adds to three of our rollup portcos. That said the deal teams on those portcos are super sweaty so makes sense.
Kline Hill is a secondary firm, they don't really do "add-ons".
Not a good name in the industry.
Anyone care to expand a little more on this? I’ve worked with KHP a little bit and have only had good experiences. They seem to be pretty active recently based on the news and they appear to be growing.
They're legit. I believe the poster above is the same one who has literally said every Secondary shop is garbage, so ignore
Any updated thoughts? Very interested in the firm/they seem to have a generally good rep.
On the advisory side - I’ve always enjoyed working with them. Always a good team to bounce ideas/opportunities off of. They are very easy to work with, can be flexible and creative on deal structure. I have gotten the sense that their diligence is light given just how quickly they can move… but maybe that’s an indication of juniors getting crushed. Not sure what their returns are like, but they have co-investors that allow them to scale a lot on GP-leds ($15-25m to $100m+ checks). So, if LPs are willing to back them that much then they must be doing something right. If they hit the $500m target on the latest fundraise that will be a good indication.
