Top Analyst
How do you know if you are a top analyst in your group? How do bonuses come into play when many times I see bonuses being based on strength / activity of the group you're in?

Career Resources
No. If you're in a weak group that will hurt you more. Most headhunters will target top groups at the banks. Then they will ask the candidates they successfully placed the year before for who the best talent is, or sometimes Associates and VPs. Nobody will really know if you're good or not, as hiring typically starts when you're only 5-6 months on the job. I would suggest being proactive with the recruiters, especially if you're in a weaker group.
OP is your question with regard to buyside recruiting, or is it more generally about ranking analysts in an IB group?
