Top HH in the MM/LMM (Sub $1bn fund) space?

Interested in recruiting for funds with recents between $500mm and $1bn. Lot of talk about MF/UMM HH on this site but was wondering who the top firms were for the smaller players.

The Oxbridge Group is one I’ve found to have the most lower middle market opportunities across the USA. I’ve also seen a bunch from Korn Ferry, CPI, and Bellcast Partners. Note that this is for Post-MBA roles and is heavily biased towards personal experience. For the most part I never really spoke to headhunters regarding pre-MBA roles. I’m sure there are a great deal number of firms out there that I’m simply not aware of due to geographic considerations or even luck.

Anyone know what proportion (if any) of recruiting for MM/LMM happens on-cycle versus off-cycle? I'd imagine there would be much more off-cycle recruiting in this space when compared to UMM/MF. Can anyone who's been through the PE recruiting cycles confirm that?
