Can confirm, got email. Will say some MM/UMM firms are still doing info sessions, so very possible they still recruit. On the bright side, at least we know there will be a lot of MF spots left even after whatever on-cycle happens. I think it will still happen after we start, not as early as it was last year.

Yes, all incoming first-year analysts got it, confirming it for the people on this forum who aren't incoming 1st year analysts.
If they thought recruiting this early was the way to get “great talent” they would still be. Don’t know why firms are so obsessed with recruiting this early, would think doing recruiting after first year analysts get their end of year reviews and transition to second years would better suit firms. You can differentiate who’s actually done stuff on the desk and grown by then vs kids straight from undergrad who’ve just done an IB internship and can do a Peak Frameworks model test. Has to be better ways to recruit
