UPenn MD/MBA student: transition to PE

Hi all,

I'm an MD/MBA student at UPenn in my last year of medical/MBA studies. My plan is to transition to industry either after med school or after finishing residency. I've recently received an offer from a top healthcare PE firm. I was wondering if others have undergone similar transitions and whether it would be wise to finish residency training.
