If tech, Vista. If broader UMM LBO, Clearlake. Each one is best in class in their group.
Vista but I'm biased because software 4 lyfe. Pay is below market compared to Clearlake and the culture is pretty cold from what I understand. Smith ended up alienating both of his co-founders over time but the man runs an effective ship you can't deny that. If tech isn't your focus take Clearlake, but if you're tech/software then the only places I'd pick over Vista are Thoma Bravo or Silver Lake.
I've gotten opposite vibes from vista. Very friendly. How badly under market are they? You get carry as an analyst and you’re paying Texas taxes
Yeah, I've spoken to people's inside and analysts that have left the firm. They all had great things to say about culture. Also they've adopted a hybrid structure. MTR in office. WF at home.
