Wanting to switch to VC or Growth from PE

Hey all- I’m a first year analyst at a BB who was fortunate enough (and grateful) to receive an offer for a MF PE position in 2024. However, I’ve always been interested in entrepreneurship and startups, and I’m fairly certain I’d like to switch to VC- thinking about startups and learning about new ventures is something I like to do in my free time anyways. My question is how would you navigate this- would It be a bad look fo reach out to headhunters (obviously not the ones that were involved in my offer)? Should I just network w alums (for what it’s worth, HYPS and a ton of alum are in VC or growth).
