West coast MBB to Chicago PE

Hi everyone! Have been working for a few months out of undergrad at an MBB firm on the west coast. I have been doing mostly PE diligences in the tech space and am really enjoying that type of work. I would like to move to Chicago and continue to work on tech related deals but at a PE shop. Any firm recs with a good culture? Not looking for a sweatshop (aka not TB).

Also, wouldn’t think any MBB firms have a good private equity & tech practice going out of their Chicago office, but that would also be a great option if so… thanks for the help :)

Lol add William Blair in there for IB and all together you have what …  20 junior seats in the entire Midwest

Of course you can do it

but if you’re early career why not match your industry to your geography before you get too specialized ???

if you know you don’t like the west coast , then why not consider another industry that’s more prominent in your preferred geography ?

What the heck would be the argument otherwise?
