I am trying to understand the top funds (MM/UMM/MF are all fine) in terms of culture, compensation, industry prestige, etc. Please don't make those ridiculous rankings lists though, I am hoping this can be more thoughtful.

I was thinking of an unordered list of which firms are generally best viewed in the industry, there's no need to point out exactly which one is 4th vs 8th best though because that level of detail becomes more of a personal opinion. General tiers could make sense too I was simply thinking that splitting hairs too much becomes unproductive
